5-Day No-Prep Sub Plan — Health Science (CTE)

Five days of substitute-ready Health Science for the career and technical education (CTE) course, for students heading toward nursing, medicine and other healthcare careers. This is not a general health or wellness packet. The five days are the healthcare team and how a patient moves through care; medical terminology from word parts; infection control and the chain of infection; vital signs; and healthcare law and ethics. Your substitute needs no medical background: each day is an original nonfiction reading, with every answer found in or worked out from that reading, then a page that checks its own answers, and a run sheet says what to hand out and when. Students apply what they read: they match a patient's need to the right team member, decode medical terms from their word parts, and reason through short patient situations. No vital-sign number ranges or step-by-step clinical procedures are printed; your program teaches the current ones.

  • Sub & Teacher Notes cover sheet — what to hand out each day

  • 5 self-checking worksheet sets (one per day, 67 questions total) + 5 answer keys

  • 17-page PDF: print pages 1-11 for the student set; answer keys at the back

  • Each day is standalone — no prior lesson needed; run the days in any order

  • Health Science, grades 9-12; tagged Emergency Sub Plans + First Week of School
