No-Prep Emergency Sub Plans

When you're out sick or pulled into a meeting, the last thing you need is to build a lesson from scratch the night before. These no-prep emergency sub plans give a substitute everything they need to run a full class period: a short reading or video, a worksheet students complete independently, and a simple answer key so any adult in the room can check the work. Every plan prints on standard US Letter paper, runs without logins or special software, and keeps students working bell to bell. Plans are grouped by subject — Earth and nature science, space and astronomy, STEM and engineering, world history, US history, and religion and cultural history — so you can grab one that fits the unit you're already teaching instead of a random filler activity. Many are sold as three-day bundles for the times you'll be out more than a day. Keep a couple printed in your sub folder and you're covered for the unexpected.
